I wouldn't say the weather is bad enough that it should be prohibited here, but unless you're Colin McRae or Walter Rohrl, going out on the roads is probably a bad idea. That being said, I'm kind of pissed because this means I won't be able to deliver pizzas tonight :( Also -40 windchill:

It is SO DAMN COLD. It's currently negative six according to our thermometer. Roads weren't too bad late last night when my dad and I went for a short drive, but it was still snowing pretty hard. There is a good amount of snow on the ground, I bet we got around 8-10 inches total. I don't think the roads are so bad they needed to lock us all in, but they don't look great. It was probably a good idea anyway, there were quite a few crashes yesterday due to the conditions.

I generally think its a good idea if its going to be really bad. They did something like this last year in the Boston area and basically it lets the plows do their jobs and doesn't have emergency personal responding to dumbasses that can't drive and ready for other issues.

They did that here in Mass last year, total road ban for the entire state. I thought it was dumb and for the first few hours rebelled. Then the storm really got going and I realized they were right...
